Spectacular king size Victorian brass and iron bed with fabulous porcelain decorative singles depicting berries and foliage. All original brass spindle supports, brass faces, collars, knees and knobs have been lightly cleaned to preserve naturally aged patina. Original porcelain castors. The frame has been professionally rested with rails extended to support modern king size mattress 150cm x 200cm /5' x 6'6". The frame has also been shot blasted prior to carefully distressed hand paint finish in Little Greene paint company bone china blue with undertones of purple. This perfectly tones with the decoration in the spindles. A very handsome centre piece for a bedroom. Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. The bed is photographed with a 2" platform top base.
