A lovely classic straight rail Victorian king-sized bed with an attractive upstand. Nice detail in the castings and clamps. Professionally restored with all joints checked for a solid and secure fit. The siderails have been adapted to be able to take slats or a bed base. Whole frame shot blasted and primed prior to hand pant finish in Little Greene’s Pearl colour, gently dark waxed and buffed well to protect and give a gentle shine. Suitable for standard King size mattress 5’ x 6’6 / 150cm x x200cm Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. The bed is photographed on 2” base with one of our Bordeaux mattresses. We can also supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices.
