In the thirty years that we have been searching for beds and bedroom furniture we seldom find suites of this quality. It was undoubtably a special order in its time. Louis XV furniture was created by the collaboration of complex network of designers and craftsmen. The Menuisier, made the wooden framework of the furniture, which was held together by its structure and wooden chevilles or dowels. The Ebenist then perfected the decorative carvings. The whole suites been carefully restored and cleaned to preserve the lovely aged patina. The side rails on the bed have been adapted to support modern size super king size mattress 150cm x 200cm.
