Very handsome king-size bed with solid construction, shaped and carved frame with quarter veneer burr mahogany on head end, foot end and siderails. In spectacular condition (See photos) with beautiful colouring throughout. Fruitwood crossbanding and lovely accompanying details inspired by nature. Gilt ormolu decoration on head end and foot, with brass crest atop head end. Truly a stunning bed which we have cleaned and restored to ensure a solid and sturdy bed. The frame has been professionally restored with rails extended to support modern king size mattress 150cm x 200cm /5' x 6'6". Price includes wood slats (sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply mini box bases for superior mattress support and to raise the get into bed height. The bed is photographed with a 2" platform top base – we would recommend purchasing with a 2” or 4” bed base. We can also supply hand-made mattresses in all comfort choices.
