Very handsome good quality Victorian king size all brass bed with sturdy posts featuring lovely matching knees, husks, collars, finials and attractive, unique knobs. The detailing in the head and foot panel is truly lovely, without being ostentatious. Original porcelain castors. The whole frame has been taken apart and reassembled to ensure all fittings good and secure. The brass has been cleaned to highlight the beds natural patina. Professionally restored with side rails lengthened, strengthened and adapted to support wood slats or a bed base. To fit modern king size mattress 5’ x 6’6” / 153cm x 200cm. Price includes wood slats (Sorry not mattress). As an alternative to the wood slats we can supply a 2” deep upholstered boxed base – Bed photographed on 2” bed base. We have our own workshops located along side our showroom in a beautiful medieval barn seven miles south of Bristol. Local, National and International delivery can be arranged.
