Iron antique single bedstead

Delightful antique single bed c1880 restored in soft white with small brass detail in centre of head and foot. This is one of those lovely individual antique beds of which there are very few left. We can supply wood slatted bases or upholstered bases to suit your comfort choice. We also supply handmade mattresses so can deliver the whole package if required.

Most of these brass and iron antique beds were made in the second half of the 19th century and originate from England and Western Europe.
Brass and iron beds became very popular from around 1840 and vary from simple ironwork to intricate combinations of iron and brass, porcelain and hand painted finishes.
