Victorian original iron and brass

Very attractive single antique brass and iron bedstead with rings and spindles detail. Restored in soft white. Solid brass knobs and collars. This bed was sourced from a sale in Oxfordshire where it had been in the family for many years. It is now ready to offer a long service again. We can supply mattresses in all comfort choices.

Most of these brass and iron antique beds were made in the second half of the 19th century and originate from England and Western Europe.
Brass and iron beds became very popular from around 1840 and vary from simple ironwork to intricate combinations of iron and brass, porcelain and hand painted finishes.
