Rosewood Henri II

Rosewood Henri II style c1900 quartered veneered with carved columns with good detail; carved knobs; all present and splendid central carved detail. When restored the colouring in the wood will be stunning and the surface marks in the footboard will have gone. We can supply 4" or 6" deep bed bases to make this a handsome centre piece for your room.

Henri II Style

This style covers the second phase of the French Renaissance.
It is marked by architectural features applied to furniture, namley pilasters, pediments and classic mouldings.

Rosewood

Rosewood is a general term used for a collection of timbers of similar figure, and was particularly popular in Empire and Victorian furniture.
Commonly a dark brown or reddish brown wood, with prominent darker streaks. All rosewoods are strong, hard and heavy, and can easliy be finished to a high luster.
