Antique caned bed with curved foot board,it has a lovely shape with flowing curves making this a soft and gentle frame. There are two prices because this bed could either be double with a base and mattress to fit internally, or have the side rails extended to take a stepped D end base and mattress at the 150cm width.

Most of the antique wood beds in this section originate from Southern France, and date from the 19th century.
The design of these bedsteads are revivals of earlier styles, occasionally combining several styles in the same bed.
It is this combination of classical designs, larger sizes and craftsmanship that make 19th century beds so popular today.
