Antique Lit bateau original paint

Truly beautiful exquisitely carved antique upholstered lit bateau; the silk fabric as alas ripped, but the oval upholstered panel in the footboard is savable . This is a bed that we have lusted after for 5 years whilst trying to persuade the previous owner to part with it. We will not make you wait that long if you have fallen for it.

The upholstered bedstead has been a perennial favourite in France during the last 100 years and, as a result, has been made in large numbers. We will normally, therefore, have a number of examples in our collection, in various styles and sizes.

Upholstery

Some beds retain their original fabrics, condition permitting. However, we do offer an upholstery service.
In this way our customers are able to select a fabric of their choice and participate fully in the restoration process.
Bed frames are offered in natural wood finishes, a wide range of paint effects or can be hand polished to work with your existing furniture.
