Spectacular rococco style bedsteadThis is an unusual style of bed, ‘rococco ‘ is very rarely found with cane. Usually, it would be upholstered or wood panelled, so this is a nice change! The frame is made in solid beech and has the original paint finish and is very well carved. The cane is in good condition and helps to lighten the feel of the bed. Upholstery
Some beds retain their original fabrics, condition permitting. However, we do offer an upholstery service.
In this way our customers are able to select a fabric of their
choice and participate fully in the restoration process.
Bed frames are offered in natural wood finishes, a wide range of paint effects or can be hand polished to work with your existing furniture.
Cane and Rush strong and light delicate lattice
The majority of the caned wooden bedsteads in our collection originated in France, where they were manufactured during the late 19th and early 20th century. Whilst a number are elaborately painted and gilded, others display the simple beauty of aged cane and wood.
